TRIUMPH
My current painting is called Triumph and is at an early stage of development. I am working with compositional elements inspired by Delacroix and Géricault.
THE BOY AND HIS BIRD
At the apex of the composition is a young boy releasing a bird into the sky. I am still working on what the final image will look like. It has been an ever changing process to decide the final outcome.
THE MOST DIFFICULT PAIR
These two figures have posed a challenge. I have painted and repainted them several times. Ultimately they will turn out great. Right now, they are just being stubborn and not cooperating.
THE MOST SUCCESSFUL GROUPING
These figures have been going very well. I have progressed further on them since this photo was taken. I am especially proud of the reflection of light from their skin, their expressions, and the colors of the under-paint playing with the colors on the surface.
