This 48x48 watercolor on wood panel depicts a scene in which the viewer looks out across a patio alongside a man in a hat. On the patio are two figures engaged in conversation. Behind them rages a tornado. This scene is reminiscent of how lightly tornados were taken in the family of the artist. These spring weather events became almost backdrops for family gatherings. This is demonstrated in this painting as those seated on the patio seem to be oblivious to the fact that such a destructive force is just behind them.

The painting technique is a unique process that gives the surface a range of texture and color. Clean the surface with a dry rag. Please avoid cleaning with water and harsh chemicals. The back of the hardboard is reinforced for additional strength and the surface is protected with a kamar varnish.
